Lumbar/Sacrum spine model showing minimally invasive lower back pain management options.
Procedures include:
1. Transforminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) through Kambin's triangle at L2/L3
2. Medial branch block (MBB) at L4
3. Radiofrequency facet ablation (FA) at L4/L5
4. Intradiscal injection (IDI) at L4/L5
5. Transforminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) through safe triangle at L5/S1
6. Sacroiliac joint ablation (SIJA) along right side
7. Caudal epidural block (CEB) at sacral hiatus
8. Ganglion impars block (ganglion shown at the level of coccygeal joint)
Procedure Details:
- Blue rods represent the position and approach of procedures and are surgically accurate.
- Each rod is labeled with the name of the procedure it demonstrates.
- Rods can be removed from the model and stored in slots on anterior surface of either ileum.
Other Features:
- Vertebra can be detached from the sacrum and each other for easier visualization and handling.
- Vertebral segments articulate and show motion of facets. Can demonstrate lordosis/kyphosis.
Instructions:
- Firmly insert sacral piece into the base stand to assemble the model.
- The second TFESI rod is shipped in one of the ileum slots and can be inserted in the ring below the right L5 pedicle to demonstrate the safe triangle approach
- Blue u-shaped joint pieces are attached at the superior endplates, but can slide at inferior endplate- Hyper flexing the model may damage the blue joint pieces
